CIMTEK announces ISO 9001:2000 registration
CIMTEK has been registered to the ISO 9001 standard for over 7 years, and in February 2004 announced new ISO 9001:2000 certification.
Since December 1994, CIMTEK has held ISO 9001 certification, as the company has always maintained high marks for superior quality and compliance, and now announces that they have extended their certification with the "Certificate of Registration" for compliance to ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard.
CIMTEK is committed to continual improvement and has demonstrated that by maintaining and updating their processes. Continual improvement challenges the CIMTEK team to strive to further improve the deliverables to each and every customer in recognition of the ISO 9001:2000
CIMTEK recognizes the advantages and rewards that are gained by registration to ISO 9001:2000 early on. CIMTEK aggressively pursued the requirements to advance to this standing, and made the necessary changes and additions to their already well-defined procedures and methodologies. CIMTEK views standards and ISO 9001:2000 certification as a way to further demonstrate a strong commitment to product assurance, quality and customer satisfaction.
ISO 9001:2000 certification is attached to a physical location, and both CIMTEK's Langstone, UK office as well as their Burlington, Canada location obtained the official designation one month ahead of schedule.
The continual improvement of the quality management system is designed to impact positively on customer satisfaction ratings. The process approach in the new 2000 standard ensures that customer requirements are moved from product realization, to measurement, analysis & improvement, to management responsibility, then to resource management and finally back again to product realization, each stage in the continual cycle designed to contribute to a product engineered to address customer satisfaction. The resulting quality product will be designed to meet customer and regulatory requirements as they strive to exceed customer expectations.
In 2003, CIMTEK was audited for compliance to ISO 9001:2000 and subsequently was presented with the registration for Engineering, Production, Commissioning and Global Support of Automation and Test Systems for the Electronics, Contract Manufacturing, Automotive, Telecommunications and Utility Industries. Going back to December of 1994, CIMTEK was audited for compliance to ISO 9001 and presented with their first registration to ISO 9001 for quality assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing.
In addition to ISO registration, CIMTEK has successfully completed self-certification to the unified European Standards for Low Voltage (product safety) and Electromagnetic Conductance (EMC). Customers in Europe and those which require the CE mark can be assured of a high quality, conforming product from CIMTEK.
