Current Positions

Senior Applications/Test Engineering Consultant (position is full time in Arizona)

The CIMTEK Professional Services Team is currently looking to hire a Senior Applications /Test Engineering Consultant. This individual will act as a regional resource in support of CIMTEK’s customers. This lead role provides direct support to our customers through delivering and managing the delivery of professional test engineering services around CIMTEK’s test systems and enterprise SW. This position reports directly to the Director of Professional Services. This is a dynamic position in a fast paced environment. A keen understanding of the business needs of our customers, coupled with test engineering experience to architect solutions to their problems, an ability to juggle multiple tasks, and to manage all engagements to a successful completion are key qualifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electrical/Software preferred)
• Proven management, project management and leadership capabilities
• Proven customer interfacing, sales support, and proposal delivery capabilities
• 7 - 10 years relevant applications/software/test engineering/test systems integration experience
• 5 – 7 years LabVIEW or LabWindows CVI and TestStand experience with knowledge of National Instruments products and tools. Certification is a plus. 
• Fully demonstrated competence in all of the following areas:
  a. Proposal Generation and customer interfacing
  b. Engineering specification and requirements development
  c. Test systems engineering and development of turnkey solutions
• Expertise with typical test instrumentation
  i. PXI/PCI/GPIB instrumentation
  ii. Power/load sub-systems
  iii. Communication sub-systems
  iv. Test systems fixturing/tooling
  v. Test system applications development 
• Experience with test system software development
• Familiarity with SQL and enterprise level database software  

National Instruments LabVIEW Developer

This position on our engineering team is responsible for test system design, programming, startup, customer interface and test system runoff.  The primary responsibility is to create LabVIEW and TestStand programs to automate test procedures and to take test data using data acquisition equipment.  Integration of sensors and sensing systems with LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware as necessary to accomplish test requirements is required.   Develop programming to automate the creation of test reports and input of data into databases where required.  

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Practical knowledge of electronics/electrical systems
• Exposure to LabVIEW real time programming
• Experience with data acquisition cards and Instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and multi-meters 

 Essential skills and requirements 

• 2-5 years experience with LabVIEW 7.1 or higher
• Knowledge of advanced LabVIEW and TestStand coding methods such as: state diagrams, parallel loops, notifiers, events, callback function, timed structures, and type definitions
• Good mathematical skills
• Proficiency in data acquisition techniques, including knowledge of National Instruments DAQ cards

Software Developer/Analyst

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and innovative software developer/analyst to join the CIMTEK team.  This position involves working directly with customers providing support for in place software/systems, working directly with customers providing support, performing value assessments and analyses of large datasets, and developing software tools for data format translation.  Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues on remote systems and preparing data summary reports.  This is a dynamic position in a newly developing department. 

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
•  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•  Willingness to travel to customer sites internationally

Software Developer
